The Tasty Sausage Search & Rescue Mission February 26, 2012

Filed under: Colorful Spots — Milka [the Great Dane] @ 5:05 pm

I must report a hideous crime!

Someone stole a big tasty sausage mum had gotten for me. I could see it and I could smell it on the counter. It was right there! It was for me!

Well, mum didn’t exactly say it was for me. But what other reason was there?

Anyway, I was right there looking at it… drooling all over it… Mum called… I hesitaded… She insisted… I ignored her… She yelled… I went to her… And when I came back, oh dreadful moment, IT WAS GONE!

G O N E !

If there is one thing I cannot stand, it’s injustice. And lettuce, can’t stand that either. But, I mean… It was my sausage! I should do something about it. And so I did…

I immediately gathered my team and went out on a search and rescue mission… First, there was mum and aunt Bito and later aunt Sandra and my lil’ friend Maria joined us.

They weren’t much help, but at least I got 4 extra pairs of eyes to look out for my beloved sausage while I smelled for it all over town.

I looked everywhere…

I searched…

And searched…

And searched…

But the lovely, tasty and truly missed sausage was nowhere to be found!

After a 3 hour search and after mum promised she would get me 2 new sausages to make up for the lost one, I gave up and went home.

Of course no other sausage can replace the memory of that waiting to be eaten beloved one… But, well… I’m sure 2 of them can keep my palate mind busy enough… and if they keep coming, maybe one day, very far away from now, many sausages away from now, maybe then I can remember this sweet sausage and the pain is not so hard to handle.

Sad slobbers,

Nala came to visit

Filed under: Colorful Spots — Milka [the Great Dane] @ 12:21 pm

My new puppy friend, Nala, came to visit last Friday.

She’s a week older, but her energy levels are still really high. Seems like her bateries never run out. 🙂

We played for a looooong time and she never slowed down. I got a well deserved nap after she left!

Well, she actually did slow down for some minutes to follow mum and have some treats. Look how she sits and waits for them. So tiny and already so polite. What a cutie!

And finally mum was able to get some pictures of her. Of course they’re not portraits ’cause they were taken while we played. But I guess you can see her a little better.

Nala

Can’t wait for her next visit!

Happy and tired slobbers!

Milka

I am truly honored for having received from bumpyroadtobubba The HUG Award© (Hope Unites Globally)

Thank you my friend! It could only have come from someone as special as you!

As you may guess by the name, this is a very special award and I quote:

The HUG Award© recognizes and honors those who help keep hope alive in our current world, which is plagued by war, natural disasters, and economic recession. You can read all about its origins, purposes and rules here.

Once this award is not blog specific, I will hand my first HUG Award© to my uncle Ste, an animal lover who fights everyday for the wellbeing of all the creatures of this planet and probably one of the purest souls I’ve ever met.

The next HUG Award© goes back to bumpyroadtobubba, a living example of HOPE and LOVE.

Another HUG Award© is for this incredible Facebook group called Dane Yard, a place where so many great people share their stories and love for their Danes and help and support one another.

And then, some more HUGs to these blogs I’ve come across and got hooked on for so many reasons:

I believe I handed them well and hope they do the same.

Hopeful slobbers,

Milka
